the room was a decent size. air con was a life saver. the room was clean and had some rose petals and towel swans set up for our anniversary which was a lovely added touch. i came back to our bed made up and clean towels.

On arrival, the reception area smells like someone has doused it with deodorant. It was intense.

i arrived late and the team were so quick getting me sorted, that was amazing! the bar stayed open late. i took full advantage. breakfast had a good choice and the car park nearby had a nice discount too.

the room felt a bit cold, even with the heating on. i mentioned it, but nothing changed. some extra warmth would have.

the staff member i encountered was helpful and always had a smile (a real asset to the place). the location was perfect for exploring the city. my room was spacious with a lovely decor, and it had excellent sound insulation, even facing the road.

the heating in my room wasn't working properly, leaving it quite cold. i informed reception, and while a maintenance person did come to look at it, the issue wasn't fully resolved. a small portable heater was provided, but it struggled to warm the entire room.

the air conditioning was a bit of a letdown. i stayed on a pretty chilly night, and despite my best efforts (and some frantic button-pushing), the unit couldn't really warm the room up to a comfortable level. it was like it was just blowing slightly less cold air, if that makes sense, so i was pretty bummed (i even tried putting a sock on it!)
